The ATLAS team is a busy group! Last week was no exception, in fact in many ways it was busier than usual. As we wrapped up our Thanksgiving travel, and started thinking about wrapping presents, we also wrapped up several projects in both the development and marketing wings of the company.
We’re implementing some new data-driven outreach tactics on Twitter and Reddit. We largely only post content that directly affects everyday lives, the type of stuff it’s our civic duty to know. If you follow us on those platforms you’ll be seeing a lot that helps keep you ahead of the law rather than playing catch-up on the side of the road.
When we launched our open beta we received a lot of feedback from the community. Some of what we heard could be addressed quickly and in a few instances we were able to roll out an update within 24 hours. Some other issues we heard and noticed were a lot more complicated and required significant code revisions to address.
Those revisions have been completed and we’re pleased to announce that ATLAS is officially live for Android devices on the Google Play Store! While we will continue to make improvements to the Android app we are now prioritizing development of the iOS version. Testing is expected to being in early 2017 – sign up at atlasmobile.tech/ios if you want to be one of the first to get ATLAS for iPhone!
A number of journalists have expressed interest in what we’re doing. Last week we answered a number of questions for a reporter at TechCrunch and are still engaged with a number of others, some of which are interviewing our founder this week.
After some delays due to the holidays being a busy time for advertisers we launched a string of ad campaigns across multiple platforms that will help raise people’s awareness of what they don’t know, and what they don’t realize they don’t know, about the laws where they live. Another round aimed at answering specific questions people are asking is in the works.
With only a month left in the year we’re in the season when staying connected to the law is at its most important point. Holiday travel, police quotas in some regions and a large number of laws due to change with the New Year make this a ripe time for unexpected encounters that could leave your both your bank account and your record worse off. Know before you go, be informed and stay safe with ATLAS!
